Sunday 19 September to Sunday 26 September is Women’s Squash Week. This week is a chance to celebrate and promote women’s squash and highlight some of the fantastic work that is being done by women in squash.
Penzance Tennis Club have concluded their year long project of delivering tennis in primary schools within Penwith. In total they visited 8 schools, provided 225 hours of coaching, and introduced over 3,500 children to tennis.
The summer holidays usually represent an opportunity for young people to unwind and relax after a long and arduous year. However, for our QCF tennis grantees the summer represents a brilliant opportunity to focus on their ambitions and goals.
The Queen’s Club Foundation is delighted to announce that in the summer we awarded 28 new grants. In total 17 organisations and 11 players have been given a grant to assist them in their own unique ambitions and goals.
In June QCF was delighted to offer a grant in support of Ali Loke, a squash player currently competing on the professional women’s tour. She recently competed in the World Championships in Chicago.
The QCF were delighted to be able to reopen the doors to its Community Tennis Club back in May. After 9 weeks of fun and progress everybody is now looking forward to more tennis over the summer.
The Queen’s Club Foundation are extremely proud to have learned that two of our grantees, Ian Vidgen and Mark Bullock, have both won LTA Awards Development Coach of the year 2021 for their respective regions.
