2017 concluded with The Queen’s Club Foundation Christmas Drinks Party for younger QC Members and their guests, which took place in The President’s Room at Queen’s on Wednesday 13th December.
The evening was supported by over 250 people who enjoyed cocktails, Christmas Carols and celebrated a fantastic year of the Foundation. With thanks to Sipsmith who very kindly donated Gin and Vodka for their Winter Cup.
The entertainment was provided by Sir John Lillie Primary School in Hammersmith, who sang Carols for us as guests entered the Club. Sir John Lillie Primary School have been playing Squash and Real Tennis at Queen’s supported by the Queen’s Club Foundation. The Oxford Commas continued the entertainment by leading all guests singing Carols at the tops of their voices. After this rendition everyone in the room felt very Christmassy!
A Committee of young Members organised the event and sourced raffle prizes, so we’d like to thank Thomas Jamie, Clarissa Agnew Sophie Aldrich, Miranda Meades, Will Morse, Tom Sater, Abigail Sater Patrick Spencer and Leonie Watson.
Fundraising on the night came from a raffle with a great range of prizes, very kindly supported by the following companies: Coyne Medical, Ginger Pig, Meryl Bird, Paloma Blue, Desmond & Dempsey, Hamilton & Hare, Orlebar Brown, IMG, Pop & Suki, Picket, Corney & Barrow, Pol Roger, Gilpins Gin, HG Walter and Duke and Dexter.
Throughout the night a whopping £7000+ was raised for The Queen’s Club Foundation, money that we will invest in grants and projects throughout the coming year.
Save the date for next year’s Christmas event on Wednesday 12th December.
