We use racket sports to improve lives, create opportunities and build stronger communities through free, high-quality coaching and participation programmes across London.

As proud winners of the LTA County "Tennis Opened Up" Award and National Award Nominees 2025, we are committed to making racket sports more accessible to those who face barriers to participation.
​
Our programmes take place in schools, parks, care homes and community venues across London, as well as at the prestigious Queen's Club, where selected participants can access additional development opportunities.

All sessions are completely free to attend.
Who Can Join?
The Queen's Club Foundation delivers free programmes specifically for children, young people and adults from the following groups:

People with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)

Individuals from underserved communities

Ethnic minority communities

Women and girls
-
Refugees

Our programmes are designed to reduce barriers to participation and provide welcoming environments where people can enjoy the physical, social and wellbeing benefits of sport.

Start Competing
The LTA hosts junior tennis competitions for children of all ages and abilities to allow them to have fun competing on court. Now that your child has developed the basic skills, we encourage you to enter your child into tournaments and start competing. This is a great way to develop their skills and a healthy love for competition.
Levels
If you're between levels, we recommend booking the lower level first or contacting our coaching team for guidance. Our coaches can always move players to the most suitable group to ensure they enjoy their tennis and continue to develop.
🎾 Beginners
Perfect for players who are new to tennis or returning after a long break.

Players at this level are learning the fundamentals of the game, including:

Basic forehand, backhand and serve technique

Court positioning and movement
-
Rallying with a coach or partner
-
Understanding the rules and scoring
You should book this level if:

You've never played before

You've only played a few times
-
You're returning to tennis after several years away
🎾 Improvers
For players who want to build confidence and become more consistent.

Players at this level are developing their technique and starting to play points and rallies more regularly.

Can rally consistently for short periods

Have a basic serve and understand scoring

Improving control, consistency and movement

Building confidence in match situations

For regular players who can play independently and enjoy match play.

Players at this level have a solid understanding of the game and are comfortable playing singles and doubles.

For experienced players who compete regularly and use tactical play.
