James Moulder, The Queen’s Club Foundation Assistant is taking on a personal challenge to raise funds for The Queen’s Club Foundation. In 2021 he will run at least 5km every day of the year come snow, ice, rain or shine! In 2018 James ran the London Marathon, 42 km, but this year James is taking on his next challenge and will run a minimum of 152 hours of running and 1825 km.
James spoke about the reasons for him taking on this challenge:
“For the past 7 years I have suffered from a severe back pain and been diagnosed with Axial Spondyloarthritis. After physios, back brace and steroid injections, the best treatment is to be active, so running helps me. However running 5 km every day without fail will be a big undertaking! I have chosen to raise funds for The Queen’s Club Foundation to enable others to be active.”
He started on 1st January 2021 and will finish on 31st December 2021 – running every day of this year! So far he has completed 31 days, 160 km, 8% of the way there! He has endured the worst winter running weather with snow and ice on his early morning runs. February is a good month with only 28 days, then Spring is here with hopefully warmer weather.
The Queen’s Club Foundation Trustees would like to wish James all the very best and thank him for choosing to raise funds for QCF.
Number of days James still has to run….
