We are delighted to announce with April now behind us, James is officially a third of the way through his running challenge.
Having made it through some extremely challenging weather in the early months of this year James is now looking forward to the warmer summer months ahead.
Running in the snow is always a novel experience, but it does make the run much more challenging!
For a lot of his runs James goes alone, but he does occasionally have company in the shape of his family dog Basil. “Basil is always a big help when it comes to the hills, but he does have a tendency to want to explore a bit much for my liking.”
James got into running back in 2017 as part of a rehabilitation programme when he was recovering from several stress fractures in the joints of his spine. He has continued to run ever since help keep his body in good health, particularly as he was recently diagnosed with Axial spondyloarthritis.
Running has been a huge part of my life for the past 4 years, so it is great that I can now not only use running to help me physically, but also to help others have their opportunities to be active.
James is running in aid of The Queen’s Club Foundation, with all proceeds going to help people less fortunate having the opportunity to experience one of the 4 racket sports of The Queen’s Club; lawn-tennis, real tennis, squash, and rackets.
