The Queen’s Club Foundation is delighted to introduce our new Grantee: Tom Hale. Tom has dedicated his life to tennis since he was 4 years old, hoping to one day emulate his hero Roger Federer. He has even incorporated Federer’s famous single-handed backhand into his game.
Tom is hugely grateful to his coaches Roger and Alison Taylor who have supported him for a number of years. Last year Tom won the player of the year award for his dedication and improvement to his game.
Tom had a very successful 2019 in which he won the plate competition at the Surrey County Championships as well as the Sutton Tennis Academy Autumn Tournament. Tom’s dedication to tennis was shown during lockdown, where with the support of his mum as a playing partner, he was able to carry on practicing everyday outside on his street. Now that Tom is back playing on court he is hoping to push on and have a successful end to the year.
The Queen’s Club Foundation is very excited about what the future holds for Tom and we cannot wait to see how he progresses over the next 12 months.
