Tina Sawyer Smith
Chair
Tina has been a member of The Queen’s Club for over forty years and was elected as Chair of The Queen’s Club Foundation in November 2022.
She has played tennis for Great Britain, collegiate tennis in the USA and has captained club and county teams. She is currently a level 4 LTA accredited Senior Performance Coach and is still an active playing member of the club.
She has considerable experience and knowledge of development, performance and governance in the national and international sporting arena and over the last four decades has contributed as a player, coach, mentor, advisor and volunteer. She has held a number of senior non-executive roles, including that of LTA Councillor, Chairman of Commercial and Sponsorship at both Essex and Surrey Tennis and, most recently, Vice President of Surrey Tennis. She has also represented Great Britain on the Tennis Europe Development Committee.
Using her extensive know-how and experience, also gained from working at BP for ten years, Tina has played an integral part in transforming the way organisations function and operate. Most notably, she has been the driving force behind innovative strategies that have helped raise over £3 million—funds that have been used to help people from all backgrounds participate in sport and achieve their full potential.
