Kate is a former practising barrister and senior government lawyer. She is an LTA Level 3 Accredited + tennis coach. Kate has extensive experience of developing community tennis directing numerous parks tennis venues and winning 4 LTA awards for Community Tennis during her career.
Kate previously co-directed leading parks provider Sheen Parks Tennis operating 5 park sites in Surrey and Middlesex and winning 2 County awards for best community tennis venue. Then during her first year at the QCF in 2022 she was nominated for 2 local authority awards in Hammersmith & Fulham arising from her development of the QCF Community Club, both for best community coach and for most engaging new sports project. Since then, she has led the QCF to win County and Regional awards and then to be National Finalists of the LTA Connecting Communities Award in 2024.
She is also an LTA Independent Councillor, an LTA Youth Schools Tutor and a SERVES mentor for tennis activators working in inner London community projects and a founding member of the LTA Inclusion, Diversity, Equality and Accessibility Group.
Kate is passionate about encouraging and retaining girls in racket sports and supporting more women to become coaches. She was the Surrey County Captain for the 8U and 9U girls team for a number of years, leading the latter to National Finals. She is also committed to developing inclusion in racket sports and has considerable experience of delivering disability sessions and sessions to various local community groups.
