After five hugely impactful years as Head of Foundation, Kate Maurici has announced that she is leaving The Queen’s Club Foundation, the official charity of The Queen's Club. We are extremely sad to be losing Kate but are excited for her next chapter in community sport.

The Trustees of the QCF are extremely grateful to Kate for her passion, hard work and ability to connect people, which have enabled the Foundation to make such a significant impact during her time at the charity. Her vision and organisation have taken the QCF to another level.

Her achievements include amongst other things; the established and recognised Inclusive Player Pathway (IPP) programme; the Para-Standing international event at Surbiton; her Rally for Life Programme, supported by the LTA Tennis Foundation, helping players with dementia; her partnership with Middlesex Tennis to drive inclusive sport across the Borough; and her endless creative energy for the development of women and girls in sport. Her contribution across all of these areas will be missed.

Kate leaves the QCF with 10 successful delivery programmes supporting over 2,000 regular players, a growing network of funders and supporters, a strong and experienced executive team, and a body of committed volunteers.

Kate said: “It has been such a privilege to lead this organisation and build relationships which have created sustainable change in the local delivery of inclusive sport. I have loved my time here and want to thank all of those who have worked so hard alongside me during the past five years. It is hard to leave but the time is right and I’m excited for the next challenge. I will continue to support the QCF, and look forward to everything it will achieve in its next stage of development.”

Will Morse, QCF Chair, said: “Kate has made an outstanding contribution to The Queen’s Club Foundation over the past five years. Under her leadership, the Foundation has grown enormously in both its reach and impact, while remaining true to its purpose of using racket sports to improve people’s lives. On behalf of the Trustees, I want to thank Kate for the energy, passion and commitment she has brought to the QCF and, personally, for everything she has done for the Foundation. She leaves the QCF in a strong position, with an experienced team, an impressive portfolio of programmes and partnerships, and much to build on. We wish her every success in whatever comes next.”

We have begun the process of recruiting the QCF’s next Head of Foundation. If you are interested in the role, or know someone who might be, we would be delighted to hear from you, please get in touch.
