Rally for Life Bringing Seniors Together Through Racket Sports
The Queen’s Club Foundation is delighted to share a positive update on our recently launched Rally for Life project, supported by the LTA Tennis Foundation.
As the official charity of The Queen’s Club, our mission is to improve lives through racket sports, and Rally for Life is already helping to make a meaningful difference for seniors and people living with dementia across our community.
The project has been developed to provide inclusive opportunities for participants to enjoy tennis and padel in a welcoming, supportive environment. While physical activity remains an important part of the programme, Rally for Life is about much more than sport. It is designed to support physical health, improve mental wellbeing, reduce social isolation, and create opportunities for people to build friendships and meaningful social connections.
Since the launch of the project, it has been fantastic to see participants embracing the sessions and enjoying the chance to stay active, meet new people, and take part in enjoyable activities that promote confidence, independence, and wellbeing.
Alongside community-based tennis and padel sessions, the project also includes visits to local care homes, helping to ensure that older adults can benefit from the social and physical advantages of racket sports, regardless of their circumstances.
For many participants, the sessions provide a valuable opportunity to get out of the house, engage with others, and be part of a supportive community. The positive atmosphere created at each session demonstrates the powerful role that sport can play in improving quality of life and promoting healthy ageing.
The Queen’s Club Foundation would like to thank the LTA Tennis Foundation for its support in making Rally for Life possible. Together, we are helping more people experience the benefits of sport, regardless of age or ability.
If you are a senior, are living with dementia, or know someone who may benefit from the programme, we encourage you to visit our website to find out more about Rally for Life and the opportunities available to get involved.
