Laver Cup Experiences Inspire Queen's Club Foundation Participants
The Queen’s Club Foundation was delighted to provide two groups of participants from our programmes with the opportunity to experience the excitement of the Laver Cup, thanks to the support of the LTA Tennis Foundation.
As the official charity of The Queen’s Club, our mission is to improve lives through racket sports. Experiences such as these play an important role in inspiring participants, bringing communities together, and showcasing the positive impact that sport can have on people of all ages.
Ahead of the tournament, pupils from Avonmore Primary School attended the practice day, where they were able to watch some of the world’s best tennis players prepare for competition. Seeing elite athletes up close offered a unique insight into the professionalism, dedication and skill required to compete at the highest level of the sport.
Later in the week, a group of senior participants from our programmes attended the evening session on the opening day of the tournament. They enjoyed an unforgettable experience, taking in the atmosphere of one of tennis’ premier events while watching world-class players compete on court.
Both groups had a wonderful time, with many participants describing the experience as inspiring, memorable and something they would not otherwise have had the opportunity to enjoy.
These opportunities are a reminder of the power of sport to connect people, create lasting memories and inspire greater participation in physical activity.
We would like to extend our thanks to the LTA Tennis Foundation for helping to facilitate these experiences and for their continued support in creating opportunities for people to engage with and benefit from tennis.
Through partnerships such as these, the Queen’s Club Foundation can continue to make racket sports more accessible and use the game as a force for positive change in our communities.
