We’re excited to welcome Isabelle Stanley to the Queen’s Club Foundation team! With a background in community sport and a passion for getting more young people active, Isabelle brings great experience and enthusiasm to the role. We caught up for a quick chat about her journey and what she is most looking forward to with QCF.
Welcome to QCF! Can you tell us a bit about where you worked before joining us?
Thanks! I used to work for London Sports Trust, which is based in Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea. They share similar goals to QCF: breaking down barriers and making sport accessible for all.
I mainly worked with the London Youth Games team and on holiday camps, helping young people, particularly girls, build confidence and enjoy being active. It was a brilliant experience.
What inspired you to join the Foundation?
Some of my work at London Sports Trust actually crossed over with Kate at the Queen’s Club Foundation. I was very fortunate to have her mentor me as part of the LTA SERVES Level Up London Project, which led to some amazing initiatives with the Billie Jean King Cup.
Being involved in that project gave me the chance to experience first-hand the incredible work QCF does, it was inspiring to see the real impact the Foundation has on communities. That experience really motivated me to join the team.
You’ve mentioned girls’ sport — tell us more!
I’ve always been involved in different sports, from country sports to rowing, and as the eldest of three with two younger sisters, I’m really passionate about encouraging girls to get involved and stay active.
I’m especially excited to build on QCF’s thriving girls’ project and help it grow even further.
And looking ahead — what do you hope to achieve here?
I’d love to shine a light on the impact QCF has by sharing more stories with Queen’s Club members and the wider public about the great work happening in our communities. There’s so much to celebrate so we need to make sure it is heard.
We’re delighted to have Isabelle on board and can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make in the months ahead.
